LAUNCH OF THE SCOOP AVON NEWSLETTER

The Scoop Avon started in 2024 when co-founders, Michele Beaule and Lauren Magel approached The Scoop Glastonbury founder, Jackie Post about building a business community in Avon. After chatting about the possibilities that a site like The Scoop could offer, the three launched The Scoop Avon on social media. The response has been so incredible that, one year later, we are excited to announce the launch of our website and newsletter to make sure there is a place people can go to get all of their SCOOP in one place! SCOOP REWIND

Here are a few of the stories getting A LOT of attention on social media.

We recently received a rendering of the new DORO Marketplace going into the empty space at 300 West Main (Route 44). We are loving the new look and so pumped for this. What do you think of this revamped exterior?

Max a Mia is NOW OPEN in their new location in the Avon Marketplace Plaza on Route 44. We went to their friends and family opening night and it was fabulous. The decor is super chic and food was fantastic. GET THERE!

Max Burger will be going into the OLD Max a Mia space after some renovations. They are targeting February of 2026 for opening.

Fun Max is ALMOST OPEN in the former gym space near the Avon Marketplace Plaza (technically Simsbury, but on the Avon line). Interior reno is complete and they're waiting on last permits and approvals. Stay tuned.

OOA (Out of Area) BUT SCOOP-WORTHY

The Toy Chest is making a COMEBACK in West Hartford. The beloved toy store will go into the former 10,000 Villages space on Farmington Avenue in the center. The owners sold the name rights to new people and they're planning the relaunch. Woohoo...one of our faves!

Fork & Fire in Farmington recently underwent a renovation and it's fire just like their name. We hear the food is excellent too! Plan a night out with friends soon.

*We previously reported that Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ was opening in Avon, but it looks like that will not be the case as of right now. We will update you if anything changes.

*Plan B closed 3 of their locations (Hartford, West Hartford, and Springfield), but the one in Simsbury will REMAIN OPEN. They said the closures were part of a consolidation plan to better serve customers.

*Jamba Juice is NOW OPEN at Westfarms. This is a fan favorite that we have yet to try it but can't wait! Let us know the must-have flavor.
